The first virtual meeting will take place on Friday 9th December 2012 via email through our practice website.

Suggested topics for the first meeting are:
· An up-date on any planned changes within the practice
· New ideas for the development of the group – what would you like to see us doing
· Ground rules for the group
· Its aims and objectives
· What do we want from the meetings

Terms of Reference
This Patient Participation Group Will:
1. C ontribute towards practice decision making and will consult on service development and provisions;
2. P rovide feedback on patients needs, concerns, interests and challenge the practice constructively whenever necessary;
3. S erve as a safety valve for dealing with grumbles and complaints about the practice-representing patients but also helping them to understand the practices view point;
4. Help give patients a voice in the organisation of their care;
5. Help promote good health and high levels of health literacy by encouraging and supporting activities within the practice and promoting preventative medicine;
6. Help influence the provision of secondary healthcare and social care locally;
